This road is closed to motorized traffic on these morning May through September to allow bikers and joggers some peace and quiet. Or, you could venture into the Little River and get wet. If you’re anxious to see what’s biting, you can pick up a fishing license at the general store and cast a line, or go for a dip in the pool during the summer months.

This KOA has accommodations for every type of traveler. If you’re a camper, bring your own tent or RV and call Townsend home for a few days. If you’re interested in a roof over your head, rent one of their rustic camping cabins. You’ll have beds and a beautiful patio and will have access to the campground’s bath house. If you’re looking for a glamping experience, rent a brand new Double-Decker Cabin. You’ll have a kitchen, a bathroom and all the comforts of home during your vacation in addition to two beautiful decks.
